The International Baccalaureate® (IB) is a non-profit educational foundation providing an international education pathway and qualification for students aged three through to nineteen. Founded in 1968, the IB currently work with over 4,000 schools in over 145 countries to develop and offer four challenging programmes to over 1,200,000 students.

The four programmes help develop the intellectual, personal, emotional and social skills to live, learn and work in a rapidly globalizing world. These programmes are:

• The Primary Years Programme for students aged 3 to 12
• The Middle Years Programme for students aged 11 to 16
• The Diploma Programme for students aged 16 to 19
• The Career-related Certificate (IBCC) for students aged 16 to 19
