The IPC Academy is a partnership between the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) and the World Academy of Sport, established in 2008  to deliver world-class academic programmes that are in touch with industry trends and developments, for administrators, event organisers, former athletes and other members in the Paralympic Sport movement.

The IPC Academy has developed the Games Excellence Programme structure, comprising a number of tailored workshops delivered on site to specifically support the Organising Committees preparing to host the Paralympic Games. During each summer and winter edition of the Paralympic Games the IPC Academy also organises a Campus for interested participants from future bid and host cities and governments, including a specific Observer's Programme, a broader Games Experience Programme, an Inclusion Summit and other networking events.  

Through the IPC Academy, current and potential leaders within the Paralympic movement have benefitted from attending our intensive residential executive education programmes that cover topics such as: High Performance Pathways, International Event Management and Sports Federation Management. 

Modules have also been tailored and successfully delivered as bespoke education programmes for the IPC member National Paralympic Committees and Regional Federations on the occasion of the IPC Congress and several other regional meetings and events. 

The Postgraduate Certificate in Sport Management, delivered in partnership with the Royal Holloway, University of London (RHUL) is also available for students, athletes and those wishing to gain entry into Paralympic Sport management. The IPC Academy is further addressing the need for global standardised levels of competence amongst classifiers, technical officials and coaches across specific Paralympic Sports by implementing proven educational methodologies of Online learning and Train the Trainer, which have been succesfully established by the IRB.
