The FIH Hockey Academy is a partnership between the International Hockey Federation (FIH) and the World Academy of Sport, established in 2013 to deliver world-class academic programmes that are in touch with industry trends and developments for administrators, event organisers, athletes and other members throughout the Hockey community.
The FIH Hockey Academy is developing programmes and pathways for coaches, umpires, administrators and event organisers. All programmes are available from the dedicated site here and the entry for all programmes begins with the Start Hockey programme which is freely available to everyone interested in hockey.
A number of Train the Trainer programmes are also being rolled out in order to further develop the educator workforce throughout the FIH membership. This will continually evolve the number of Coach Educators and Umpire Educators over the coming years and details of the latest programme will be
The Postgraduate Certificate in Sport Management, delivered in partnership with the Royal Holloway, University of London (RHUL) is also available for students, professional hockey players and those wishing to gain entry into hockey management.
